Tino Scarpa

Tino Scarpa Milano-born Tino Scarpa was 23 when he landed a job with the United Nations in Documents for Delegation. After captaining the tennis team of the world's leading international organization and working daily with leaders of New York and beyond, Tino quickly realized his knack for drawing in the 'who's who' of NYC society.

Tino brought this talent to Orsini's, where Armando Orsini tapped him to take his first restaurant position as the Manager and Maitre d'. Tino was an immediate success, and 5 years later the noteworthy of New York society were dining at Tino's, his first of five restaurants.

For years the high-profile guests of Tino's, Faces, and Casalone made Tino Scarpa's restaurants the places to be. After a short hiatus since Tino's closed its doors in 2002, Tino is thrilled to be back on the scene as a partner with Chef Alain Allegretti.
